This event will be focused on the energy and agriculture nexus, looking at the use and production of renewable energy and how technology can be used in the sector to increase efficiency and reduce emissions. This session aims to bring together policymakers, agricultural organizations, farmers, and thought leaders in a roundtable style discussion to explore how technological innovation and renewable energy integration can optimize land-use and provide additional opportunities for farmers. With agriculture responsible for a significant share of greenhouse gas emissions, we see a unique opportunity to highlight solutions at the intersection of clean energy and sustainable farming—such as agrivoltaics and on-site renewable energy generation.
A catered lunch and opportunity for networking will begin at 11:30 (before the beginning of the event).
Speakers include:
- Kyle Hiebert, Manager Public Policy, EMILI Canada
- Jacqueline Keena, Managing Director, EMILI Canada
- Uzair Jamil, Founder, Agrivoltaics Canada
